  • Build effective campaigns to drive new donations and spend the full $10k ad credit each month
  • Create a high-funnel keyword strategy to generate email newsletter subscribers using a lead magnet
  • Keep their Google Ad Grant account in compliance and avoid time-consuming deactivations

The Challenges

  • Grant account limitations – With the restrictions placed on a Google Ad Grant account it can be hard to spend the full $10k grant. That means finding creative ways to use the free ad credit so you don’t leave money on the table.
  • Compliance – Every nonprofit has a unique mission but must abide by Google’s policies for grant accounts. Without knowing the rules and regulations it’s easy to slip out of compliance and get your account shut down.
  • Lack of strategy – Sometimes with a grant account you might assume you don’t need a strong strategy. It’s free money, right? It’s still important to pick the right keywords, landing pages, and conversion actions to support your nonprofit’s mission.

The Solution/Strategy/Plan

That’s where Blueprint came in. We implemented a few key strategies to clear these obstacles and get their ad campaigns to a winning place.

So, how did we do it?

  • Improved keyword strategy – they were missing out on a ton of relevant keywords. Through keyword research, we were able to fill the gaps and make sure they were spending the full $10k grant.
  • Conversion tracking – we set up conversion tracking so we could see how many people clicked through to their donation site. This gave us an idea of how many donations came from our campaigns.
  • Compliance – we implemented automated rules and manual processes to make sure their account would stay compliant.
