Pinterest Usage Is On The Rise!

If you know that social media is becoming a new way of life than you have heard of Pinterest. If not, let me break it down for you first. Pinterest is a pinboard-style photo sharing website that allows users to create and manage theme-based image collections such as events, interests, hobbies, and more. Users can browse other pinboards for inspiration, ‘re-pin’ images to their own pinboards, or ‘like’ photos. Now that you know exactly what pinterest is, what does it mean for your business? Keep this in mind; Pinterest acts as a personalized media platform, whereby your own content as well as anyone else’s uploaded pins can be browsed on the main page. The platform had the highest increase in audience and time spent of any social network across all devices such as PC, mobile web and apps.

So what this means for your business is that you have the opportunity to create a visual storefront on a social media site that continues to experience exponential growth since its launch in 2011. In addition, a May 2012 Harvard Business Review article titled, “Moving Customers From Pinning To Purchase,” states that: “Pinterest users reported a surprisingly high correlation between pinning and subsequent purchasing: more than 1 in 5 Pinterest users has pinned an item that they later purchased. In the social world, this is a high conversion rate.” In one case study of a fashion website, users visiting from Pinterest spent $180 compared with $85 spent from users coming from Facebook. These users spent less time on the company’s website and instead chose to browse from the company’s pinboard. Further brand studies have continued to show Pinterest is more effective at driving sales than other forms of social media.

By opening up Pinterest for business use, your company has another outlet to engage prospects. As a marketer, remember that product photography is more important than ever when trying to encourage Pinterest shoppers to pin and buy your best products/services. Capitalize on their shopping experience and make your profile as creative and visually attractive as possible. Therefore, it is time to Pinterest away!

Choosing an ingredient supplier is one of the higher-stakes decisions a food or beverage company makes. How to Build a B2B Lead Nurturing Program That Closes Deals

Most B2B marketing teams are better at generating leads than keeping them warm. A form gets filled out, the lead lands in the CRM, and nothing happens until a salesperson gets around to it, by which point the buyer has moved on or gone quiet. In a market where the average deal takes months of[...]

How We Took the Grind Out of Link Building Prospecting

Most link building programs stall at the same point, the prospecting spreadsheet. Finding sites worth pitching means pulling competitor backlinks, cross-checking them against what you already know, throwing out the junk, and judging what's left for relevance and quality. It's a few hours of repetitive work before a single outreach email gets written, and when[...]
