The Lamb's Chapel | Website Redesign
The Lamb’s Chapel approached Blueprint for a major website redesign in 2009. We were very excited to partner with TLC as our staff shares a common passion for God’s Kingdom. The Lamb’s Chapel may be the most pleasant client we’ve ever serviced. They were aggressive in their online strategy and extremely patient when there were unexpected delays that couldn’t be avoided.
- We began the process by meeting with some of TLC’s staff and discussing the specific goals of their new site. The primary target audience was decided to be new site visitors who were not yet attending church services.
- The next step was to decide on a new design. The design had to match the primary goal and as you can see below, the end result was a dramatic improvement:
- The next phase of development involved content implementation. Sometimes working with an organization can be difficult in this stage. We try to avoid unnecessary conflict by appointing one contact person who makes all the final decisions and can expedite the process. In this case, the selected staff person from TLC proved to be very capable and was a joy to work with.
- After updating the content of all the pages, we began the difficult process of PHP development for their new member directory and resource database. These two features offer members and non-members a remarkable service. We’re very excited about the end product that was realized.
- Finally, we upgraded various portions of the site by implementing RSS feed. These feeds allow staff persons to easily update the site through their blog interface without having to install a cumbersome CMS.
The Lamb’s Chapel has experienced explosive growth in traffic on their site and is very thankful they chose Blueprint. We continue to work with them weekly to help with updates and discuss potential upgrades.
